The Forty-seventh Meeting of the
Executive Committee decided:
(a) to
approve, in principle, the national phase-out plan for Afghanistan, at the
amount of US $1,065,806 plus agency support costs of US $138,555 for
the Government of Germany and UNEP;
(b) to
approve the draft agreement between the Government of Afghanistan and the
Executive Committee contained in Annex XII.51 to the present report; and
(c) to approve funding for
the first tranche of the phase-out plan at the amount of US $118,438 plus
support costs of US $15,397 for the Government of Germany and
US $305,000, plus support costs of US $39,650 for UNEP.
