The
Forty-sixth Meeting of the Executive Committee decided to approve the project
for the total phase-out of methyl bromide used in tobacco, flowers, ornamental
plants, strawberries and other uses, in accordance with the Agreement between
the Government of Brazil and the Executive Committee contained in Annex XII.6
to the present report, and on the understanding that no more funding would be
provided from the Multilateral Fund for the phase-out of controlled uses of
methyl bromide in Brazil.
